Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been around for over 50 years, and in recent years companies like Google, Amazon, and Netflix use it to recommend products to us.

Whether we like it or not companies are using AI on us. However since the beginning of 2023 AI systems that understand and speak human languages, at least as well as humans, have become mainstream and we can use them. For example millions of children all round the world use them to do their homework.

u3a volunteers like yourself are finding great benefit in using these AI systems to help them perform their role as well as for entertainment and in day-to-day life.
