The Horsley Wine Appreciation Group ( WAG ) meets for ten tastings each year usually in the East Horsley Village Hall. Other outings are sometimes arranged to vineyards, tutored wine tastings over lunch and for picnics in members' gardens Our regular meetings are at 7.30 on the second Thursday of each month in the Millenium Room.
Tasting meetings last about two hours, during which six wines are tasted and their respective merits ( and prices ) are discussed. It is customary for two members to volunteer to lead a tasting, and provide accompanying nibbles, having chosen and researched a theme in advance. Local wine stores and suppliers are also invited to lead tastings.
New members are welcome.
