Play Reading
Michael Grinter
Monthly - second Friday of the month at 10am with the possibility of the following Friday to complete the reading
Achiilea, East Horsley KT24 5ET
This group gets together once a month to enjoy reading play scripts together, to understand the plot and make the characters come to life. Each month we decide which play we will read at the next meeting. The emphasis is on enjoying the script and group members are not called on to act or give a public performance. The group is full at present with a waiting list.
Certainly, it can take members out of their comfort zone. Before lockdown and after reading Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter one of the group wrote to me to say that she had always avoided going to see Pinter because she thought that it was too heavy. She did not realise how funny he was.
