Due to member demand, a second Pickleball group has been formed meeting on Tuesdays.  New members are welcome.  Trial sessions without commitment are also possible, subject to availability. The original Pickleball group meets on Fridays 3-5pm.

Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis and is played on a badminton-sized court where the net has been lowered. No special equipment is required as paddles and balls are provided. All you need is comfortable clothing and non-slip shoes. Four players use solid paddles to hit a perforated plastic ball, over the net. The serve is underarm. When people become more experienced at playing, it can also be a challenging, fast-paced, and competitive game. It is also very good fun!  Not all members of the group have played Pickleball before and the idea is mainly to enjoy ourselves whilst learning the game.
