Talks at local Hall in Winter and Visits during the rest of the year
fas fa-envelope

A relaxed friendly atmosphere is the mark of our meetings and new members are welcomed. Talks cover a wide range of subjects, as may be seen from the Group’s webpage on the Horsley U3A website. Members are encouraged to give talks either on a particular interest or their career. The Group welcomes other offers of and suggestions for talks, speakers and visits.

The Didcot Rail Centre and the Fawley Hill Railway & Museum were two interesting locations visited during summer 2023. Three Group visits, are proposed for 2024, the first being to the London Canal Museum on Thursday 9th May. Each visit is led by a Member working with the Group Leader. Travel to venues is by car (shared arrangements), public transport or occasionally for longer trips, if there are sufficient numbers, by hired coach. Lunch and refreshments are taken at an on-site cafe or local pub in a convivial atmosphere!

As current Group Leader, Peter Bennett-Davies welcomes offers of and suggestions for talks, speakers and visits.

The 2024 meetings Programme and suggested places for visits is shown below.
