Some words from out new Chairman, Tony Dinkin:

"I am very pleased to say that after the difficulties caused by the Covid Pandemic, when many of our activities had to be postponed, Horsley u3a is back. Whether you are an existing Member or looking to see what we offer with a view to becoming a Member you will find here a wealth of information about u3a and its activities.

However, the clear message to us all is that we must be aware of the risks and do all we can to avoid catching the virus or passing it to others.  Members have responded magnificently so far but I hope you will forgive this timely reminder to ensure that we continue to take appropriate and reasonable precautions.

2022 has not started as well as we would have wished but your Committee is determined to do all it can to keep u3a "open for business" as far as possible.  I look forward to your continued co-operation regarding Covid measures.  I will of course update you in the event of any changes to government advice.
I wish all of you a healthy and safe 2022 and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at u3a meetings and events." Please see Covid guidance under the "Latest Highlights" tab below.

Horsley U3A is a self-help voluntary organisation for people no longer in full time work. Set up in April 2008 to serve East and West Horsley and surrounding districts in Surrey, it provides a wide range of educational, social, creative and leisure interests in a friendly and informal environment for over 700 members.

Horsley U3A holds monthly meetings with invited speakers for its members. Currently 68 specialist Activity Groups cover subjects from Astronomy to Ukulele and Wine Appreciation.

We also organise outings to places of cultural and historical interest, theatre visits and special events such as an Annual Quiz Evening. These are normally open to all Horsley U3A members but are currently on hold until our activities return to normal.

If you do not immediately find what you are looking for, or think you have skills or experience that may be relevant in running u3a or one of its an activities please contact us to see if we can help.  We pride ourselves on our friendliness and openness so please rest assured you will always receive a very warm welcome.

To allow those that cannot attend the meetings in person these are 'hybrid' meetings with "Zoom".
