We aim to restart our visits to the unique indoor facilities at Tunbridge Wells Curling Club for a morning's curling. Curling involves sliding granite ‘stones’ down an ice rink to hit 'the house' and in the process clear your opponents’ stones out of the way. Beginners are welcome, the rules and techniques are easy to understand, and all specialist equipment can be hired. You do not need to be a superfit winter sports enthusiast to take part – just well wrapped up. There is no ice skating involved - that would ruin the ice. Included in the visit fee is the hire of special trainers with two large suckers on sole and heel to help keep players safe from sliding about.
