Monthly Meetings are now being held at East Horsley Village Hall. To support those that are still isolating or cannot get to the hall we are runnning "hybrid" meetings, those who cannot attend can watch the meetings on "Zoom"
All Horsley U3A members are eligible to take part in our Theatre Visits. We e-mail details of future trips to all Horsley U3A members who are on line, and put notices on the U3A notice boards at the Village Hall and in the Station Parade shop window, and on this website.
We try to vary the types of play as much as possible so that we can cater to all tastes.
Our trips are always very popular and usually book up quite quickly. Keep an eye open for e-mails and notices outside Budgens and in the village hall.
The Committee wishes to draw the attention of Horsley U3A members to the following message from the East Horsley and West Horsley Parish Councils regarding their Climate Change initiative:
West and East Horsley Parish Councils established a joint task group last year. Their key objective is to "engage with our village communities, to raise awareness of the climate change and biodiversity emergency, and help us all identify what small changes we can make to help protect our planet". Both Parish Councils are actively involved in a number of projects which are detailed on their websites. These include recycling projects, Blue Heart Verges scheme, setting up an Eco Hub in the Library, Plastic Free Horsley (future project) and many more.
